Pump Pilot ("we", "the extension", "the service") is a Chrome extension that monitors public pump.fun token activity and delivers real-time intelligence. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and what we do not collect.

1. What We Do Not Collect

Wallet connection is optional. If you choose to connect your Solana wallet to display your PPC Member/Premium status, only your wallet's public address is read — solely to verify token holdings. Private keys and seed phrases are never requested, accessible, or stored.
No personal information. We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, or any personally identifiable information.
No account or login. The extension requires no registration of any kind.
No browsing history. We do not read or transmit your browser history, tabs, or any activity outside of pump.fun-related functionality.
No payment data. Pump Pilot is free. No billing information is ever requested or stored.

2. What Data Is Processed

Pump Pilot operates as a read-only market intelligence tool. The following data is processed to deliver the service:

Public on-chain data. Token launches, trade events, wallet activity, and market cap data sourced via PumpPortal WebSocket (public API), DexScreener (public API), and IPFS (public token metadata). This data is entirely public and not linked to any individual user.
Local extension storage. Your saved alerts, saved coins, and tracked wallet addresses are stored locally in chrome.storage.local — on your device only. This data is never transmitted to our servers.
Backend server. The extension connects to a self-hosted backend server at api.pumppilot.club to retrieve scored alerts and token data. No user-identifying information is included in these requests.
Wallet address (optional). If you connect your Solana wallet to verify token holdings and display your PPC Member/Premium status, your wallet's public address is used for a read-only balance check. Your address is never stored on our servers, never transmitted to third parties, and never linked to any personal information. No transactions are initiated on your behalf.

3. Permissions Used

Pump Pilot requests the following Chrome permissions, each with a specific and limited purpose:

storage / unlimitedStorage — To save your alerts, coins, and wallet list locally in your browser. Unlimited storage is required due to the volume of alert and coin data accumulated throughout daily and weekly periods.
alarms — To poll for new alerts and token data at regular intervals when the extension is active.
sidePanel — To display the Pump Pilot interface as a Chrome side panel.
notifications — To surface high-score token alerts as desktop notifications (optional, browser-controlled).
host permissions (api.pumppilot.club) — To connect to the Pump Pilot backend for alerts, top coins, wallet intelligence, and activity data. All requests are read-only GET requests.
host permissions (Solana RPC) — Used for an optional, read-only balance check when you connect your wallet to verify token holdings. No transactions are signed or submitted.

4. Third-Party Services

Pump Pilot uses the following public, free third-party APIs to retrieve market data. None of these services receive any personal information from users of this extension:

PumpPortal — Public WebSocket API for pump.fun token events (pumpportal.fun)
DexScreener — Public API for token price and metadata (dexscreener.com)
IPFS — Public content-addressed storage for token images and metadata
Google Analytics — Anonymous usage telemetry (page views, feature usage within the extension) for product improvement. No personally identifiable information is collected.

5. Data Retention

Token and trade data collected by the backend server is stored in a PostgreSQL database on a self-hosted server. This data consists entirely of public blockchain events and contains no personal information.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, transfer, or share any user data with third parties for any purpose. The only third-party data flow is standard Google Analytics telemetry for anonymous usage metrics. We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose of providing pump.fun market intelligence. We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

Pump Pilot is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as the extension evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
